The Cambs and Hunts Autumn Foursomes competition got off to a slow start as fog restricted visibility at The Gog Magog course. By mid-morning the sun broke through the thick cloud and the temperature soared to the high 20s. Local pair Lesley Gilchrist and Helen Ambrose seemed to thrive in the hot conditions as they amassed a magnificent score of 40 points in the morning round to lead the field by six points. They continued their good form in the afternoon to notch up another score of 40 pts for an overall total of 80 points.
Second place went to County President Jacquie Richardson and Linda Harness (Old Nene) with 65 points with Christine Ratcliffe and Pat Nixon (Ely City) claiming third place with 62 points on countback from Mo Poole (Brampton Park) and Grace Eastment (The Cambridgeshire.
