Results – 2017 Junior’s Spring Meeting

In glorious spring sunshine a total of 27 girls, between the ages of 7 and 17 took park in the Cambs and Hunts Junior Golf Spring meeting at Lakeside Lodge.

The top nine girls competed in the 18 hole medal competition on the Lodge Course for the Lesley Ford Trophy. The course was in excellent condition and Barkway Park’s Olivia Dyson put together an excellent round of golf for a score of nett 72 to clinch the Lesley Ford Trophy. Second nett prize went to Eleanor Gamble (Ely City) who produced a solid round of nett 73.

The scratch prize went to Ella Mason (Ely City) with a gross score of 83. Eleanor Gamble (Ely City) and Morgan Tritton (Gogs) won the hidden pairs prize.

The younger girls all received coaching from Club Professional Andy Fletcher as well as taking part in skills games, putting and chipping before moving on to the 9 hole course and the Par 3 course.

Lila-Bella Naca (Kingsway) played some excellent golf to record a score of 26 points to take 1st place, with Katie Willison (Cromwell) in second place with 21 points. Lili-Bella Naca won the putting prize and Paige Hardwidge (Gogs) won the chipping prize. Ruby Davis (Links) and Immy Longstaff-Biggs (Bourn) won the hidden prize.

Nine younger players competed on the Par 3 course where Elizabeth Wynne (Kingsway) took first place with a score of 37. Maya Mahadeva (Gogs) won the putting competition and newcomer Martha took first place in the chipping competition. Girton’s Robin Seacombe won the Trigolf competition.
