Brampton Parks’ Mo Poole uses local knowledge to clinch the title.

Brampton Park played host to the County Veteran’s Championship and despite the recent heavy rain the course was in an excellent condition. Local players revelled in the conditions and took four of the eight prizes. In top place was Mo Poole (Brampton Park) who played some stunning golf to put together a round of gross 78 to win the Veterans Cup.

The President’s Salver for the best nett score was won by Brenda Davey (Brampton Park) with an excellent score of nett 74.

The Senior Veterans Cup, for ladies above a certain age, was won once again by St Neot’s Rosemary Farrow with a gross score of 87.

In the Silver Division Sue Hill (Girton) had a solid round of nett 75 to take first place with Ely City’s Sharron Chatteris in second place with a nett 76.

Katie Dixon (Brampton Park) won Bronze A with a nett 78, with St Neots Margaret Gates in second place with a nett 81. Brampton Park’s Liz Olding won Bronze B with a nett 80.
