As you can imagine the weather was not kind to us today at Sheringham and the scores reflected the terrible conditions. Even the members said that they’d think twice about playing in it! We were battered by the 25mph winds, trolleys kept falling over and we were nearly blown off our putts! However, our team kept their nerve and WON one of the major prizes of 2nd nett team prize over the two days (3 scores on Tues & 3 scores on Wed). A fantastic achievement as this was our first attempt in the competition. We kept our 4th gross position at the end of the second day and with 22 players with handicaps of 6 or less divided throughout the 18 teams it certainly was a very competitive field. Many thanks to Sarah G, Lesley G and Edie for joining me in the team. We are very pleased with our result and have firmly put Cambs & Hunts on the map in this event.
Results: 1st gross – Staffordshire. 2nd gross – Nottinghamshire 1st nett – Leicestershire. 2nd nett – Cambs & Hunts
