Cambridgeshire Golf Awards 2017

The inaugural Cambridgeshire Golf Awards evening was held last Thursday evening at St Ives (Hunts) GC. There was a fantastic buzz in the room as over 100 guests packed out the beautifully presented clubhouse.

A big congratulations to everyone who was nominated and the well deserving winners on the evening (pictured) who were:

PGA Professional of the Year: Aaron Jones, Nene Park
Golf Volunteer of the Year: Jane Blake, Links GC
Club Services Team of the Year: Lisa Carroll (Bar / Catering Team), Old Nene Golf & Country Club
Golfing Ambassador of the Year: Sarah Smith, Saffron Walden GC
Lifetime Achievement Award: Maureen Mansfield, Girton GC / CHLCGA  (Third from left) CHLCGA President Elect

Guests on the evening included the Mayor & Mayoress of Peterborough and The England Golf President John Williams, who closed the evening with a toast to ‘Golf in Cambridgeshire’. The evening was hosted brilliantly by long time St Neots member Barry Stearns.
