Links Ladies Conquer in Spain

Having won through six rounds played over the course of the year to earn a place in the semi-final, team captain Sarah Greenall, along with fellow members Edie Douglas, Naomi Pilmer, Marcella Tuttle and Carol Wigham, flew to Spain on 19th November for the last two rounds accompanied by a band of caddies and supporters.

Links off to Montecastillo

It was an extremely tight and tense match against Toft GC(Lincs) ladies and as the anchor game Sarah kept getting reports of first good news, then bad, then good. Sarah was very pleased to be called in after playing the 15th as her team had won the required 3 matches!

So that’s 6 rounds completed and with over 200 clubs entered in the competition they are in the top 4.

A great achievement so far but they are going there to try and take the first prize.

So Links are now off to the Annodata Matchplay Grand Finals in Montecastillo Golf Resort, Cadiz, Spain Monday 19th November – Friday 23rd November. Where the top 4 Ladies and top 4 Mens teams will play the Semi Finals, 3rd place play off and Grand Final.

Tabitha & Miranda retain the Holland Cups

With the sun beating down 22 pairs tackled the Wandlebury course at the Gogs as they took up the 36 stroke play challenge for the Holland Cups. Tabitha and Miranda Brain (Gogs), the holders for the past two years, were in excellent form and their score of 78 gave them a two shot lead after the morning round. They continued their good form into the afternoon with another solid round of 78 for a total gross score of 156.  Read the full report here

Another Great Win

Another great win for us V the holders Suffolk. We’re leading the tournament after Day 2. How fantastic! It was a nail-biting finish today with the match being won on the last hole in the last match. Looking forward to our match v Beds tomorrow (who beat Essex today!).
