CONDITIONS OF PLAY

  • Matches to be played Home and Away
  • All matches MUST be completed by Sunday, 26th July 2020
  • The winner of each group will go forward to the Semi-finals

(Should there be a draw in any of the Groups, the Assistant County Competitions Secretary will arrange a play off on a neutral course)

  • Winners of GROUP 1 will play the winners of GROUP 3 and the winners of GROUP 2 will play the winners of GROUP 4
  • The Semi-finals and Final will be played on the same day on a neutral course during September. The date and venue will be announced as early as possible in August when all the matches have been played.

Note: County first team players for the current and previous season are not eligible to play.

  • All matches are played off scratch over 18 holes under normal match play rules
  • Details of the group draw will be issued around June for the following year. All group matches must be played both home and away
  • Players may play in:
    • any order within the designated handicap band
    • a lower handicap band, but not in a higher band
  • Two points for a win or unplayed concession; one point for a half. The result of any partially completed conceded match shall be whatever the state of that match is at time of the concession
  • The winning margin of each match must be recorded, but margins will only be used if teams are tied on completion of all group matches. If an individual match is conceded on the day without being played no winning margin should be assigned
  • If a group is tied after winning margins are taken into account, the Assistant Competition Secretary must ensure that a deciding match is arranged on a neutral course
  • In both the semi-finals and final all games shall be played over 18 holes or less if a game result is achieved or if called in by the team captains when an overall match result has been determined.  If, after all seven games are completed, the overall match result is tied, there will be a sudden death play-off, involving player 1 from each team. Play off holes will be determined by the committee
  • Trophies presented to the overall winners and the runners-up. Medals will be given to members of the winning team
