  • Matches to be played Home and Away
  • All matches MUST be completed by Sunday, 26th July 2020
  • The winner of each group will go forward to the Semi-finals

(Should there be a draw in any of the Groups, the Assistant County Competitions Secretary will arrange a play off on a neutral course)

  • Winners of GROUP 1 will play the winners of GROUP 3 and the winners of GROUP 2 will play the winners of GROUP 4
  • The Semi-finals and Final will be played on the same day on a neutral course during September. The date and venue will be announced as early as possible in August when all the matches have been played.

  • Clubs will be drawn into four groups, each comprising of no less than three clubs
    • Inter-club league with each team consisting of seven players drawn from three handicap bands:
      • two players from handicap band 10-16
      • three players from handicap band 17-22
      • two players from handicap band 23-36

Note: County 1st team players for the current and previous season are not eligible to play

    • Details of the group draw will be issued around June for the following year. All group matches must be played both home and away. All games are played off scratch over 18 holes under normal match play rules
    • Players may play in:
      • any order within the designated handicap band
      • a lower handicap band, but NOT in a higher band
    • Two points for a win or unplayed concession (see below) and one point for a half. The result of any partially completed conceded match shall be whatever the state of that match is at time of the concession
    • If an individual game is conceded on the day without being played, no winning margin should be assigned
    • The winning margin of each game must be recorded, but margins will only be used if teams are tied on completion of all group matches
    • If a group is tied after winning margins are taken into account, the Assistant Competition Secretary will arrange a deciding match on a neutral course
    • It is expected that all individual games/matches will be played and every effort should be made to ensure this. In the event of one or more games in a match potentially being conceded, the situation will be managed as follows:
    • a match will be deemed to be viable if 4 or more games are played; 2 points will be awarded to the opposition for each conceded game (i.e., up to a maximum of 6 points)
    • a match will be deemed non-viable if 4 or more games are to be conceded. In this scenario it is expected that:
      • a change of date should be discussed between the two teams and if, after all reasonable efforts have been made to rearrange the match, no date can be agreed, the Assistant Competitions Secretary should be informed
      • If, following further mediation by the Assistant County Competitions Secretary, no alternative date can be negotiated, the team that concedes the whole match will be removed from the group for that year along with any points from matches already played
    • In both the semi-finals and final, all games will be played to a conclusion under normal match play conditions, unless a clear match result has already been achieved, in which case the captains may call their players in
    • Trophies presented to the winning and runner-up teams. Medals will be presented to the winning team
